Here I am in sunny Cyprus, unsure of exactly how much money I owe to various different places in total – but entirely ready to stop ostriching and face my debts.
Admitting it is the first step, yes?
This will be my place to document my progress paying off everything I owe in the hope that it will keep me accountable. If I have to declare how much I’m considering spending on shoes with a record of exactly how much I owe sat here then I’m far less likely to spend it!
First debt to tackle – Next Directory account. They’ve lured me in with next day delivery on too many occasions and I’m over it. It’s the only debt I owe interest on and although the interest is minimal it seems a logical place to start.
I currently owe £105.55. I have a chunk from eBay sales ready to throw at it when I get home from holiday and back to financial reality. The rest I will pay off within four weeks (oh yes, I’ve read all about setting intentions!).
